Traveling and capturing images is my passion, I have had the good fortune of having lived in different parts of the globe. I grew up in India, lived in New Zealand for 3 years and am in the US for more than 10 years. The varied culture of the regions has influenced me and my work over the years, and this diversity is what I seek in the pictures and videos that I shoot. This meditation, reflection on the connections between cultures has been the topic of my interest. I visited South East Asia in 2016, where I photographed and shot videos in the beautiful temples of Angkor Wat, Cambodia. I also visited Thailand, Laos and Vietnam in that trip. This region moves at its own pace and feels as if it has been suspended in time. The following summer of 2016 I traveled through Europe and shot elements similar in subject matter to what I shot previously in Asia. The aim is a comparative visual study of the East and West by juxtaposing the imagery and leaving it open for interpretation by viewers. I plan to further explore this topic of comparative visual study between east and west, with different themes, settings and experiment with mediums of video and installations.
